Gensler is seeking a Project Accountant in the San Francisco Bay Area to manage financial accounts and analysis for projects throughout the lifecycle from due diligence to invoicing and collections.

You will partner with Design Managers to ensure accurate billing, understand contracts, and forecast spend against budgets while maintaining strong adherence to GAAP and firm policies. This role offers local market benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Competenze

• B.A. Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• 3+ years of project accounting experience in a professional service firm.
• Proficient in Excel; Deltek Vision experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and high accuracy, able to meet deadlines.

Mansioni

• Partner with Design Managers to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
• Understand contracts related to each project, focusing on fee and scope.
• Assist in project start-up due diligence and lifecycle best practices.
• Understand project schedule, phase and timeline.
• Provide billing recommendations aligned with scope and value delivered.
• Record revenue in accordance with US GAAP and firm policies.
• Forecast spend vs. budget and advise leadership on project health.
• Coordinate Subconsultant PO & AP processes through Coupa.
• Coordinate financial communications with consultants on contracts and invoicing.
• Review labor and expense actuals against plan and flag variances.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and assist collection efforts.
• Maintain organized project contract files.
• Act as accounting liaison between project, studio, and corporate teams.
