Jobot is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Accountant to manage project finances from kickoff to closeout. You will oversee job costing, change orders, pay apps, lien waivers, and AIA billing, partnering with PMs and leadership to ensure accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in project accounting, strong Excel and Viewpoint skills, and a CPA/CMA is a plus. This on-site role in Florida offers PTO, SIMPLE IRA, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a project accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, WIP, and percent complete.

Responsibilities

Compensation: $75,000 - $89,000 / year

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant to oversee financial operations across active construction and development projects. This role works directly alongside Project Managers and executive leadership to manage the full billing lifecycle, track job costs, execute change orders, and maintain strict compliance standards from project kickoff through final closeout.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Permanent Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and success of our projects, providing financial analysis, reports, and recommendations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all project-related accounts, job costing, and financial projections.
• Handle change orders and pay applications, ensuring all are recorded accurately and timely.
• Work closely with subcontractors and general contractors, ensuring all financial transactions are clear, transparent, and fair.
• Process AIA billing, lien waivers, and WIP, ensuring all are in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Use the viewpoint to provide accurate and detailed financial reports.
• Monitor and track T&M and the percentage of completion for all projects, providing regular updates to the project team and management.
• Oversee the financial aspects of project contracts and agreements, ensuring all are in line with financial projections and budgets.
• Collaborate with other team members, providing financial insights and recommendations to aid decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, ensuring all financial practices are up-to-date and compliant.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a project accounting role, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.
• Strong knowledge and experience in job costing, viewpoint, change orders, subcontractors, general contractor, AIA billing, pay applications, lien waivers, WIP, T&M, and percentage of completion.
• Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• A professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
