Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant in Palm Beach Gardens, FL to oversee the billing lifecycle, track job costs, and manage change orders across active projects. You will work with Project Managers and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and strict compliance from kickoff to closeout.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years in construction project accounting, with proficiency in Viewpoint and strong analytical

• Solid understanding of construction accounting processes including job costing, change orders, subcontractor accounting, and general contractor accounting.
• Experience with AIA billing, pay applications, lien waivers, WIP, T&M, and percentage of completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all project-related accounting tasks, including job costing, change orders, and contractor accounting.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Process AIA billing, pay applications, lien waivers, and other necessary documentation.
• Monitor and track WIP, T&M, and percentage of completion to provide accurate project status updates.
• Analyze and report on project profitability, cash flow, and financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets for projects.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
• Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations as needed.

Job Title: Construction Project Accountant

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70,000 - $89,000 per year

Compensation: $75,000 – $89,000 / year

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant to oversee financial operations across active construction and development projects. This role works directly alongside Project Managers and executive leadership to manage the full billing lifecycle, track job costs, execute change orders, and maintain strict compliance standards from project kickoff through final closeout.
