Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Project Accountant to join our team in St. Petersburg, FL. You will own the financial lifecycle of professional-services projects, from set up and budgeting through forecasting and cost control, while ensuring GAAP compliance.

You will collaborate with project managers, perform WIP analyses, oversee billing, and produce accurate financial reports. Proficiency in Deltek Ajera and strong Excel skills are essential; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, project costing, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Deltek Ajera or equivalent project management software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Excellent financial analysis and forecasting skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analysis.
• Strong commitment to professional and ethical standards.
• CPA certification is a plus.
