Wesbuilt Construction Managers in New York is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial management across active projects. You will partner with Project Managers, Operations, Estimating, and Finance to track costs, bill appropriately, forecast trends, and provide timely project reporting.

The Project Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial management and operational success of Wesbuilt projects. This position partners closely with Project Managers, Operations, Estimating, and Finance to support accurate job cost tracking, billing, forecasting, subcontractor coordination, and project financial reporting throughout the lifecycle of a project.
The role is designed for individuals continuing to grow within construction accounting and project financial management. The Project Accountant is expected to develop a strong understanding of project cost structures, financial workflows, and operational processes while helping support financial accountability and reporting consistency across assigned projects.
Success in this role is demonstrated through accurate project financial reporting, timely billing and invoice processing, strong organization and follow-through, effective collaboration with project teams, and proactive support of project financial controls and operational efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of project accounting, construction accounting, accounts payable, or related finance experience preferred, preferably within construction management, general contracting, or related industries.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required. Experience with Procore, QuickBooks, and/or construction-related systems preferred.
