Job summary

Wesbuilt Construction Managers in New York is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial management across active projects. You will partner with Project Managers, Operations, Estimating, and Finance to track costs, bill appropriately, forecast trends, and provide timely project reporting.

The role emphasizes accurate cost structures, streamlined workflows, and audit-ready records while promoting financial accountability and operational efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Procore, QuickBooks or construction-related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full project accounting lifecycle from setup to closeout.
• Maintain accurate job cost tracking and committed cost reporting.
• Monitor budgets, labor costs, subcontract commitments, and change orders.
• Assist with WIP reporting, forecasting, and cost-to-complete reviews.
• Prepare owner billings, lien waivers, and billing documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Finance on payables and approvals.
