Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to set up new projects in Deltek Vision per contract and revenue terms.
• Enter budgets and upload required documentation at project setup.
• Maintain project records through lifecycle, including change orders and task authorizations.
• Review reports to identify revenue errors and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor unbilled activity and labor adjustments.
• Support project closeout and finalize transactions for invoicing and billing.

Responsibilities

NV5 is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Accountant to join our growing team in Cary, North Carolina. In this role, you'll partner closely with Project Managers to help ensure projects are set up, managed, billed, and closed efficiently throughout their entire lifecycle. • Partner with Project Managers to establish new projects in Deltek Vantagepoint ensuring project setup aligns with contract requirements, billing terms, and revenue recognition methods.
• Enter project budgets and upload all required documentation during project setup.
• Maintain project records throughout the project lifecycle, including processing change orders and additional task authorizations.
• Review and analyze project reports to identify and resolve revenue generation errors and maintain project data integrity.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor and manage unbilled project activity.
• Process labor adjustments as needed to maintain accurate project financials.
• Support project closeout activities, ensuring all transactions are completed and projects are properly finalized.
• Prepare monthly invoices for Project Manager review and approval while ensuring compliance with client billing requirements.
• Finalize and distribute invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with accounts receivable reviews and collection efforts to support healthy project cash flow.
• Provide additional accounting and project support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in project accounting, professional services, engineering, architecture, or consulting environments.
• Experience with Deltek Vision or similar project-based accounting software.
