Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Project Accountant to support project financials and billing in a dynamic engineering and consulting environment. You will collaborate with project managers to set up projects in Deltek Vision, manage budgets, and ensure timely invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Set up projects in Deltek Vision according to contract and revenue method.
• Enter project budget information and upload documents into Deltek Vision.
• Maintain projects throughout life cycle, incl. change orders and task orders.
• Run and review project reports to assist with RevGen errors.
• Review and maintain project unbilled detail.
• Record requested labor adjustments.
• Close projects after all transactions are completed.
• Process monthly invoices for review and approval by Project Managers.
• Review and maintain project billing terms, ensure client requirements are met.
• Finalize and distribute monthly invoices to Clients.
• Support in monthly AR reviews and collection process.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a Project Accountant. The most frequent and essential work activities include:

• Work closely with Project Managers to set-up projects in Deltek Vision according to contract and revenue method, assure billing terms are set up according to contract and client billing requirements.
• Enter project budget information and upload all required documents into Deltek Vision at project set up.
• Maintain and update projects throughout project life cycle, including but not limited to change orders and additional task orders.
• Run and or review project reports to assist with RevGen errors, maintain and clean-up projects on regular basis.
• Work closely with Project Managers to review and maintain project unbilled detail.
• Record requested labor adjustments.
• Assist in closing projects after all transactions are completed.
• Process monthly invoices for review and approval by assigned Project Managers. Review and maintain project billing terms, ensure client's requirements are met.
• Finalize and distribute monthly invoices to Clients.
• Support in the monthly AR reviews and collection process.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree or relevant accounting experience, or a combination of Degree and relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook with strong computer skills.
• Solid organizational skills with superior attention to detail and time management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels.
• Great interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment with a willingness to adapt to new and changing processes quickly.
