Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA is seeking a skilled RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down. This part-time role covers 2 x 12-hour day shifts weekly, with some weekends.

You will provide evidence-based nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and support autonomy and accountability in a state-of-the-art setting. The staff nurse delivers holistic care from birth through the lifecycle, collaborates with a diverse team, and contributes to exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license (or multistate with GA recognition).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document findings.
• Evaluate developmental age during care planning and education.
• Organize data to form an individual plan of care and outcomes.
• Carry out the care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and needs.
• Oversee ancillary and support staff activities.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse/Manager/physician.
• Document care and concerns in the patient record.
