Job summary

Piedmont Eastside is hiring an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down in Snellville, GA. The role is part-time days (2 x 12-hour shifts weekly), with some weekends, in a 24-bed PCU/Step Down unit.

You’ll work with a team including Patient Care Techs, RNs, Charge Nurses, and unit staff to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care. The staff nurse collaborates with leadership to coordinate patient-centered care, document care, and participate in ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current GA RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• New graduates eligible for PRN/part-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and collect data on physical, psychosocial health history.
• Evaluate developmental age to tailor patient education.
• Organize data to develop and adjust plan of care; identify expected outcomes.
• Carry out and adjust plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Provide care aligned with patient condition and identified needs.
• Oversee activities of ancillary and support staff.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources for patient education.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, or physician as appropriate.
• Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.
