Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down in Snellville, GA. This part-time role features 2 x 12-hour day shifts weekly with occasional weekends in a 24-bed unit. You’ll work with a supportive team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care.

The position emphasizes autonomy, teamwork, and accountability. Requires GA RN license and BLS certification; strong PCU/stepdown experience preferred.

Qualifications

• GA RN license (or multistate) in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Experience in PCU/stepdown or similar unit preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and data collection.
• Evaluates developmental age in assessments and education.
• Organizes data into a care plan and identifies needed information.
• Carries out and updates plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Delivers care appropriate to condition and needs.
• Oversees activities of ancillary and support staff.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides patient education resources.
• Communicates issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager/physician as appropriate.
• Documents patient care and concerns in the record.
