Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down. This part-time, two 12-hour day shifts per week role may require some weekends. The PCU sits between ICU and Medical-Surgical units, with 24 beds and robust team support.

You will provide dedicated nursing care, use state-of-the-art technology, and contribute to safe, evidence-based practices in a collaborative environment. Enjoy flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license or multi-state license (NLC/eNLC).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across birth to lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate patient care activities of assigned staff.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources for patient education.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager and/or physician as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety.
