Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role centers on delivering high-quality progressive care to patients in a fast-paced setting, coordinating care across units and ensuring patient safety.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, 1 year of RN experience, and preferably a BSN. Strong collaboration, leadership, and clinical assessment skills are essential to develop and implement effective care plans.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state
• 1 year RN experience
• 6 months RN experience in acute care preferred
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred; ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures
