Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step Down) Registered Nurse for The Jewish Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating with the care team across Med-Surg and ICU, and developing care plans to improve patient outcomes.

Required is 1 year of RN experience with current RN licensure; BLS/ACLS certifications are preferred and ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS and/or ACLS certification (ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team across Med-Surg, Progressive Care and ICU as needed
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop/adjust care plans
• Act as the point of contact for patient care coordination across departments
• Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives within the unit
• Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies
