Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down) at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating care across Med-Surg and ICU, and developing care plans to improve patient outcomes.

Requires 1 year of RN experience with state RN licensure, BLS/ACLS preferred at hire and ACLS within 6 months. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current state licensure as an RN is required.
• BLS and ACLS are preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor of Science Nursing is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and develop a plan of care.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across departments.
• Act as patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and policies.
