Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional nursing care across Med-Surg Telemetry. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate care between units to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The role requires current RN licensure; a BSN is preferred but not required. At least 1 year of RN experience is required, with 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
