Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care in line with hospital policies and protocols. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care on the night shift within a progressive care department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Applies medical-surgical nursing standards to evaluate care and outcomes.
• Establishes relationships with patients and families to tailor care plans.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Develops holistic assessment and management plans addressing physical, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Coordinates with inter-professional team to deliver care and meet goals.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Mentors staff to foster a healthy work environment.
• Applies evidence-based practice to age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Maintains alertness and safety in all duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
