Job summary

SSM Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit, supporting patients with complex assessments and interventions. The role requires collaborating with an interprofessional team and applying evidence-based practice in daily care.

Position details include night shift, regular employee status, 36 scheduled hours per week, and location at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent licensing education.
• Active RN licensure in IL, MO, OK or WI (compact state where applicable).
• BLS HCP certification required; additional advanced life support certifications may be required per location.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive data from patient, family and providers to create a holistic care picture.
• Analyze data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
• Collaborate with patient and interprofessional team to set outcomes and plan of care.
• Implement and coordinate care plans to maintain patient safety.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and adjust care as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family, and team; ensure evidence-based practice is followed.
