Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care within established policies and procedures. The role supports 7 a.m.–7 p.m. shifts with a sign-on discussion during recruitment.

The incumbent will use the nursing process to assess and plan care, collaborate with the care team, educate patients and families, and promote a safe, compassionate environment in a 24-hour medical-surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or equivalent licensing.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Establish patient care plans and advocate for patients and families.
• Use nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate with inter-professional team to meet patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about health maintenance and care.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a safe, respectful work environment.
• Apply evidence-based practices to nursing care across patient populations.
