Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s Shady Grove Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit. The RN will educate patients and families, model best practices, and develop individualized care plans to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, performing rounded patient care, and applying evidence-based practices to daily nursing activities. This is a night shift, full-time role with rotating weekends and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX is required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model for Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non‑nursing tasks as appropriate.
• Develop a care plan tailored to the patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective actions.
• Mentor students and staff in patient‑centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspectives.
• Apply evidence from literature to improve clinical practice.
