Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for a full-time, on-site position in Great Falls, Montana. The RN will provide direct patient care on a stepdown unit, manage complex cardiovascular cases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes strong nurse-to-patient ratios, supportive leadership, and opportunities for professional growth in a community with high quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Active Montana RN license or eligibility for compact endorsement.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC and EPNC preferred.
• Post-graduate clinical experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with recent Critical Care or PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to hemodynamically stable or unstable PCU patients.
• Manage diverse patient populations including post-PCI care and complex surgeries.
• Monitor for deterioration using assessment and intervention tools.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, and IV pumps.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge planning.
• Serve as clinical floor leader, mentoring LPNs and CNAs.
