Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site Night shift in Great Falls, Montana. This role sits on a dedicated clinical team with strong nurse-to-patient ratios and supportive leadership, offering a stable environment in a scenic community.

You will provide specialized direct nursing care on an advanced medical/surgical and stepdown unit, monitor complex patients, operate critical equipment, participate in discharge planning, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana or eligibility for compact/endorsement.
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; EPNC/TNCC preferred.
• Post-graduate clinical practice in Medical/Surgical with Critical Care or PCU/Stepdown exp.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized direct nursing care to hemodynamically stable or unstable patients on PCU/stepdown.
• Manage diverse patient populations including post-PCI care and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor patients closely using advanced assessment tools to detect deterioration.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, and ventilatory support; titrate meds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
• Precept and mentor new staff, supporting LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary teams.
