Job summary

Mission Hospital is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will support pre- and post-operative care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, administering medications, documenting care, and maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures. BSN is encouraged; current NC RN licensure and BLS required.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience.
• BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position; grandfathering accepted.
• Current RN licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC may apply).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Masters in Nursing preferred; National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; identify and report changes.
• Perform procedures as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
