Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers.

The RN will provide pre-operative and post-operative care, document care, administer medications, and maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical treatments. ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start, with RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor's or associate degree or equivalent work experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical provider.
• Document care delivered in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
