Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pulmonary Stepdown (Progressive Care) unit. The role focuses on coordinated, patient-centered care with pre- and post-operative nursing support and strong patient advocacy.

Qualified applicants will hold a BSN or be enrolled with plans to obtain a BSN within five years, and possess an active NC RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications. Masters in Nursing is preferred."

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in BSN and obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date.
• RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
• eNLC license may apply; licensee should confirm with NC BON.
• Masters in Nursing preferred; active RN licensure in NC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Document care in the medical record and administer prescribed medications.
