Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN opportunities. The RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative nursing.

You will assess patient condition, perform procedures, document care, administer medications, and stay current with cardiac and medical-surgical practices.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be current or obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure or degree required; equivalent work experience acceptable.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in progressive or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient record promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and equipment for cardiac/medical‑surgical patients.

Skills
