The Progress Specialist supports the college’s student success and retention goals by identifying and proactively assisting students at risk of academic failure or disengagement, particularly those who are Pell-eligible or underserved. The position focuses on early intervention for students not progressing toward 12 earned credits or experiencing challenges in gateway English and Math courses. The Progress Specialist plays a critical role in preventing student stop-outs through personalized outreach, timely referrals, and coordination with faculty and support services.
