Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Consultant, Program Underwriting - Alternative Ventures to lead underwriting for multi-line P&C programs. You will develop and implement guidelines, collaborate with partners, and support growth across programs.

The role requires substantial experience in underwriting, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex program initiatives while maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies with focus in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Risk Management.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Five or more years related experience as a Professional, Financial and/or Specialty lines underwriter.

Responsibilities

• Drives the sales and underwriting relationship for Programs products and services.
• Analyzes program manager relationships/results and recommends corrective actions.
• Reviews highly complex risks and declines or accepts business based on necessary information.
• Develops underwriting guidelines, rates, forms, product endorsements and procedures.
• Interacts with claims, actuary, compliance to achieve company goals.
