Job summary

The Arc Of Greater New Orleans is seeking a Program Supervisor to lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and oversee supported living participants. This role emphasizes staff development, performance management, and program efficiency.

It requires supervisory experience and a background in human services, with a Louisiana driver’s license. The role includes developing service plans, documenting care, and ensuring quality services while coordinating meetings and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related discipline preferred.
• Direct Support Professional training completion or 1 year DSP experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have a valid LA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Direct Support Professionals and participants.
• Develop and implement service plans and case management duties as needed.
• Maintain and review all service documentation (ISPs, progress notes, reports).
• Provide 10 hours of direct service per week to monitor quality services.
• Coordinate monthly circle/staff meetings and scheduling of service.
• Remain on-call for emergencies and scheduling needs.
• Complete performance evaluations and monitor staff performance.
• Communicate program activities with supervisor and attend required meetings.
• Foster positive relationships within the community and with partner agencies.
