Job summary

The Arc of Greater New Orleans seeks a Program Supervisor for Supported Living Services in Metairie to lead Direct Support Professionals and oversee program operations for participants. This role emphasizes staff development, performance management, and ongoing program enhancement.

Responsibilities include establishing policies, documenting progress, submitting reports, and coordinating services while remaining on-call for participants and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year supervisory experience required.
• Direct Support Professional training or DSP experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have a valid LA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains operating policies and procedures for the program.
• Makes daily decisions in the operation of the program.
• Communicates with supervisor about program activities and attends necessary meetings.
• Obtains supervisor approval before implementing changes affecting participants.
• Monitors DSPs and leads while the center operates.
• Maintains service documentation (ISPs, progress notes, reports).
• Submits monthly records to the participant's file.
• Assists staff with incident reports within 24 hours.
• Performs case management duties as needed, including service plans.
• Provides 10 hours of direct service per week to monitor quality.
• Coordinates monthly circle/staff meetings to measure progress.
• Coordinates scheduling of service to participants.
• Remains on-call for emergencies and scheduling needs.
• Develops positive relationships within the community and with other agencies.
