Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Assistant Superintendent for Programs I to oversee the full range of services at a minimum custody facility. Reporting to the Warden II, you will supervise educational, classification, recreational, religion and medical services and lead program development.

This role requires strong leadership, training capabilities, and the ability to evaluate and implement program improvements within a state prison setting in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Supervision and management techniques knowledge.
• Knowledge of supportive counseling or treatment programs.
• Familiarity with services available from community and public/private programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the total programs services of a minimum custody facility.
• Supervise educational, classification, recreational, religion, and medical services and program components.
• Serve as acting Warden in the absence of the Warden II and participate as part of the management team.
• Provide ongoing training to staff and plan, direct, and enhance programs within the facility.
• Evaluate recommendations from the Correctional Programs Director and other senior officials; report status to the Warden II.
