About the Role
Program Planning Department within Raytheon is seeking a program management/planning professional to join our team. This role is part of the Planning organization supporting a program within the Advance Technology directorate. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and analyze the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex programs.
Responsibilities
- Onsite support to development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements/scope provided by the customer.
- Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the program’s lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS to maintain realistic, current contract schedule baselines.
- Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases.
- Ensure the IMS is resource loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration and is traceable to production scope.
- Conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness and compliance. Communicate schedule status, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis, and what-if exercises to the Planning Lead, Program Manager, customers, and senior management as needed.
- Support EAC and LRE processes as they relate to the Program IMS.
- Develop and maintain the Program Master Phasing Schedule using Milestones Professional Software.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of Program Planning, Scheduling, or Project Management experience.
- Experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or similar).
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- Ability to decompose statements of work into basic elements and transform them into a workable program plan.
- Intimate familiarity with applicable Government regulations, especially pertaining to program planning and Earned Value compliance.
- Understanding of basic product development principles including Agile software development.
- Ability to interface and influence at all levels of an organization with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as APEX, SAP/R3, MPM, Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra, and Deltek MPM Connect.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by PMI.
