Position Overview
Raytheon (RTX) is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the Program Design & Planning organization. This onsite role in a classified area in Tucson, AZ will develop, maintain and analyze the Program Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring schedule accuracy, risk integration, and compliance with directives and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Understand the program technical and programmatic solution and partner with the program team to integrate it into the IMS baseline plan, ensuring cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan.
- Lead creation and maintenance of compliant Integrated Master Schedules on requirements provided by the customer that achieve necessary cost and schedule integration.
- Lead and support the team to ensure program plan and IMS is developed consistent with IPDS and program life cycle; review the IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing or improperly planned work.
- Create, use and recommend appropriate alternative or supplemental program management plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow) to help the program team understand and manage the plan.
- Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis results to program teams, integrate mitigation plans into the IMS, and incorporate schedule risks into the Risk Management process.
- Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical‑path analysis, schedule variance analysis and network logic validation, employing appropriate Earned Value Management System processes.
- Mentor and train junior planners.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Experience using scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, OpenPlan or similar.
- Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules and evaluating critical path or workflow.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or a similar business process.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate integration and maintenance in the IMS of technical, schedule and cost in an EVMS environment.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the program technical and programmatic solution and lead integration and modelling of that solution into the IMS.
- Ability to interpret SRA results and program schedule risk/opportunity drivers.
- Experience collaborating with Planning and functional organization SMEs to support their program teams.
- Understanding of hardware and software development life cycle; exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Experience managing, leading, training and supporting proper scheduling and EVMS techniques for teams of varying size and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and process improvement skills.

- Salary range USD 107,500 – 204,500.
