Job summary

The Next Step in Saint Louis is seeking a Program and Operations Coordinator to strengthen internal operations and our scholarship program. This full-time role reports to the Senior Director and serves as the organization’s operational back-up on scholarship functions while supporting general operations, events, board logistics, and development.

Responsibilities

• Support scholarship application intake, interviews, and applicant communications.
• Maintain applicant and recipient records in databases and develop reports.
• Assist with scholarship disbursements and program financials.
• Support development of an alumni and outcome tracking program.
• Coordinate student volunteers for community events.
• Serve as back-up to the Operations Lead on scholarship functions.
• Maintain an organized office environment, including supplies and upkeep.
• Handle mail, vendor coordination, and the general admin inbox.
• Support board and staff meeting logistics, scheduling, and minutes.
• Manage Notion tasks and keep timelines current.
• Assist with financial recordkeeping and data entry in QuickBooks.
• Support fundraising, donor stewardship, and events.
