Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a Scholarship Program Coordinator to advance fundraising objectives, engage donors, and oversee scholarship administration across internal processes.

Under minimal supervision, you will manage multiple projects, partner with campus departments, and drive opportunities for student success while ensuring compliance with donor intent and university guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or proven related experience supporting students, professional development programming, application processes, and events.
  • Experience leading initiatives in higher education, non-profits, office administration, customer service, or related fields.
  • Occasional evening and weekend events; schedule flexibility required.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in scholarship program management and fundraising/development; discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Scholarship Programming (45%): support multiple scholarship programs to develop and execute strategies to achieve assigned objectives and requirements.
  • Plan and implement orientations, professional development trainings, workshops, and networking events for scholarship recipients.
  • Partner with campus departments, community organizations, and local businesses to provide scholars with networking opportunities and career resources.
  • Collaborate with admissions and community colleges to increase scholarship and transfer applications.
  • Strengthen connections with other local universities for joint scholarship recipient programming opportunities.
  • Monitor scholars' compliance with scholarship requirements and academic standing.
  • Oversee annual application reviews and selection processes for assigned scholarships.
  • Track programmatic spending and ensure fiscal compliance with guidelines.
  • Disperse scholarships with donor intent in coordination with Financial Aid.
  • Lead creation of event plans with events colleagues and student employees.
  • Donor and Community Relations (25%): collaborate with advisory boards to promote support for scholarship programs.
  • Work with advancement peers to support fundraising through donor relations.
  • Maintain relationships with Foundations and Organizations providing funding and scholarships.
  • Partner with campus departments to provide networking opportunities and resources.
  • Strengthen connections with other local universities for joint programming.
  • Student Employee Support (15%): supervise student hourly employees, provide training and guidance.
  • Identify projects for student employees to support cross-functional activities.
  • Foster personal growth of student employees.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting (10%): analyze data to create reports and maintain records in donor database.
  • Prepare data reports and presentations for fundraising efforts.
  • General Support (5%): assist with gift acknowledgment, scholarship administration, procurement, and reimbursements.
