The Advanced Programs Portfolio is seeking an Obsolescence Manager to support production execution and long‑term growth of the Advanced Programs portfolio. In this role, you will report to the Production Growth Program Manager and be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive obsolescence management plans while overseeing and managing the obsolescence management process for the programs. This role will be responsible for identifying, tracking, mitigating, and communicating obsolescence (DMSMS) issues. You will collaborate externally with suppliers, customers, and internally across cross‑functional teams to develop and implement strategies that minimize the impact of obsolescence on program deliverables, schedules and costs. Additionally, you will maintain system health, ensure timely resolution of obsolescence risks, and support successful production and future growth performance for the portfolio. This position requires strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence cross‑functional stakeholders. **This is an onsite position at our McKinney, TX facility **Relocation assistance is not available currently **Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) is required prior to start

Will You Will Do:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive obsolescence management plans
  • Monitor, assess, and mitigate obsolescence (DMSMS) issues, develop mitigation plans and coordinating with engineering and portfolio leadership
  • Evaluate alerts (CROMA, EARNS/GIDEP) to determine program impacts and align solutions with program cross-functional team
  • Proactively assess potential obsolescence risks by tracking component lifecycle status and market trends
  • Engage with suppliers on obsolescence tasks
  • Evaluate alternative part options, redesign needs, or lifetime buy opportunities
  • Present mitigation strategies to the Programs, including options such as LTBs, redesigns, or alternate components
  • Identify obsolescence items requiring elevation to the Program Risk Register and recommend technical solutions to improve system reliability and supportability
  • Lead the selection and validation process for replacement or alternate parts and maintain all DMSMS‑related databases and documentation
  • Prepare monthly DMSMS Board materials, customer summaries, and program review updates, including DMSMS budget reporting
  • Support cross‑functional teams in component analysis, BOE development, sustainment/production meetings, Gate reviews, and tracking of DMSMS action items
  • Manage the DMSMS budget, ensure funding alignment, and maintain the program Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Provide overall expertise and guidance for all Advanced Programs Portfolio obsolescence management activities from supplier communications through customer reporting
You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Prior obsolescence management experience
  • Strong understanding of component lifecycle management, obsolescence prediction tools and market trends
  • Prior experience preparing cost proposals, BOEs, or gate packages for management review and customer briefings
  • Prior experience with program management tools such as IPDS/RLPM and/or collaboration tools
  • Prior experience with EVMS, Risk & Opportunity Management, IMP/IMS development
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start
  • US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
We Prefer:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Program Management Level 5 Certification or ability to achieve within 6 months
  • Experience with government programs and direct customer interactions
  • Experience with DMSMS tools, parts research systems, or configuration management databases
  • Experience with direct supplier or vendor interaction
  • Experience supporting production programs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Certified BOE developer/approver
