Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ seeks a Program Navigator to coordinate surgical and specialty programs and to streamline patient pathways from pre-admission through discharge.

You will collaborate with physicians, surgical offices, hospital departments, patients, and families to manage scheduling, PAT workflows, credentialing, and documentation, while advancing quality, operational efficiency, and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a healthcare field or operational role.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workflows, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with physicians, healthcare teams, patients, families, and administrative staff.
• Attention to detail in scheduling, data, documentation, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between physicians, surgical offices, departments, patients, and families to promote effective communication and continuity of care.
• Coordinate pre-admission testing workflows and support scheduling, process guidance, and operational questions.
• Assist with scheduling, credentialing, and documentation to support surgical readiness.
• Support efforts to improve utilization and patient volumes in prep testing.
• Provide training and workflow guidance to surgical office staff to improve efficiency and consistency.
