Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Navigator Non Clinical at the Morahan Center in Livingston, NJ. This per diem role supports front access, answers the center line and handles online appointment requests while coordinating with insurers and sports medicine patients for referrals.

The position emphasizes patient communication, scheduling, and coordination of care with physicians, schools and community partners; EPIC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with experience in care coordination.
• Experience or familiarity with sports medicine services and/or athletics preferred.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain health record information and organize files as needed.
• Establish and maintain communication with physicians, schools, patients and families to coordinate care.
• Assist with program policies, procedures and maintain program standards.
• Assist with community cardiac and concussion screenings at varying locations as needed.
• Schedule and triage athletic patients following injuries and concussion, coordinating with teams.
• Verify insurance, billing and referrals; track ROI data and support office procedures.
