Job summary

VWI is seeking a Program Manager to oversee hospital housekeeping and Regulated Medical Waste across a multi-building Salt Lake City medical campus in support of the VA.

The role requires 5 years of leadership in housekeeping, 3 in general/2 in hospital, plus the ability to coordinate large shift teams and work with government contracting programs. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with strong safety, compliance, and communication skills, and readiness for on-site management.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in leadership roles, incl. 3+ years in housekeeping management.
• 2 years of hospital housekeeping experience.
• Willing to be available 24/7 by phone/pager.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in business/management.
• Experience in government contracting program or project management preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Provide managerial oversight of complete hospital housekeeping, general housekeeping, and Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) collection for a multi-building medical campus in support of our customer, the Department of Veteran Affairs, at George E. Wahlen Medical Center Campus: 500 S. Foothill Blvd. Salt Lake City, UT 84148.

What You’ll Have

• 5 years’ experience, which includes at least 3 years’ managing general housekeeping and 2 years of specific hospital housekeeping experience.
• Available, via telephone or pager, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Experience managing large multi-shift teams.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred
• Government contracting Program or Project Management experience preferred.
