Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is seeking a facilitator to train Direct Support Staff in supporting people with disabilities according to individual Person Centered Plans. The role includes leadership over the team, ensuring safe operations and adherence to program standards in a residential setting.

You will identify improvement opportunities, drive quality, and promote culturally competent, recovery-focused practices as part of a collaborative care approach.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a positive and supportive manner and to work effectively with staff, consumers and all stakeholders.
• Three references deemed acceptable to Spectrum.
• Life experiences with diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including experience with behavioral health issues, is preferred.
• Must support a trauma informed culture of safety to aid consumers in their recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Direct Support Staff how to support people with disabilities, following Person Centered Plans.
• Provides leadership to the team and directs staff to ensure smooth home operations and safety.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and helps implement changes to raise program quality.
