Job description

Coordinate the management of multiple related projects aimed at achieving a common business objective. Collaborate with business leaders to envision, define, and initiate programs. Provide guidance to project managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance, ensuring the program's success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with business leaders in strategic planning and program envisioning.
2. Develop a comprehensive program roadmap and implementation plan.
3. Establish and oversee the program governance structure.
4. Manage communication with stakeholders, sponsors, project managers, and teams.
5. Perform risk management and escalate issues as needed.
6. Monitor scheduling, financial, and technical performance of programs.
7. Coordinate resource planning to optimize efficiency across projects.
8. Facilitate cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments for projects.
9. Develop budgets, financial projections, and forecasts.
10. Assist in contract negotiations and proposal preparations.
11. Ensure adherence to plans and schedules, and resolve program issues.
12. Work with project managers to ensure timely, within-budget project completion that delivers value.
13. Serve as an advisor on projects and operations.
14. Build and motivate a matrixed team, promoting a shared vision.
15. Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and provide coaching to project managers.
16. Create and deliver presentations and status updates tailored to the audience.
17. Secure stakeholder support for change management initiatives.

Job Specifications

Typically requires:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in project or program management, leading large, complex projects.
• Extensive experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and risk management skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic planning and forecasting abilities.
• Willingness to travel (approx. 10%).

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of government market and health plan insurance operations.
• Knowledge of CMS, state, and health plan compliance requirements.
