Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley in Blackwood, NJ is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our facility. Reporting to the Program Director, you will oversee Care Managers and other staff, handle recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and scheduling, and help ensure safety, security, and client orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of human services experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Basic computer experience preferred; valid driver’s license; able to meet agency driving standards.
• Ability to handle Protected Health Information and comply with HIPAA rules.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Care Managers and other assigned staff.
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation, and scheduling.
• Conduct regular supervisory sessions and complete performance evaluations.
• Assist the Program Director with on-site training and staff development.
• Assess staff training needs and monitor attendance.
• Create monthly staff coverage schedules and arrange call-out/emergency coverage.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and respond to staff pages.
• Ensure fire safety compliance and facility security.
• Oversee bed arrangements, meals, medication monitoring, and daily shift-change procedures.
• Collaborate with outside agencies to support facility needs and maintain confidentiality.
