Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking an experienced Program Director for the Blackwood, NJ site to lead operations, ensure program integrity, and drive quality service delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, staff development, and compliance with HIPAA and agency policies, with responsibilities spanning client welfare, safety, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Human Services field plus 2 years of management experience, or 10+ years in human services/corrections.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and flexibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements.
• Ability to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA privacy and security rules.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and administration of the program
• Supervise assigned staff, including performance evaluations and supervisory sessions
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and regular team and client meetings
• Ensure compliance with agency Administrative Policies and Procedures
• Develop, implement, review, and maintain the Program Policy and Procedures Manual and client handbook
• Ensure high-quality delivery of all program services
• Conduct regular program evaluations to maintain program integrity
• Assess staff training needs and coordinate staff development plans
• Prepare annual budget recommendations with input from direct reports
• Ensure contract compliance, data collection, and positive relationships with funding sources
