Job summary

Tufts University School of Medicine seeks a Program Manager to lead the Anatomical Gift Program and oversee the Gross Anatomy Labs. You will coordinate body donations, liaise with funeral directors and families, and manage the operations, safety, and finances of AGP/AL.

Responsibilities include developing teaching materials, implementing learning technologies, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. After-hours calls and memorial participation are required.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree or equivalent in mortuary science required.
• 5+ years in academic gross anatomy lab and anatomical donor program.
• Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts and Federal laws governing Willed Body Programs, crematories, funeral directors and embalmers, and related safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Anatomical Gift Program (AGP) and Gross Anatomy Labs (AL) operations and scheduling.
• Serve as liaison with funeral directors, cemeteries, crematories, medical examiners, doctors, hospitals, lawyers, and other professionals.
• Manage budget, purchasing, and compliance related to AGP/AL.
• Prepare materials for teaching, implement technologies to enrich anatomy education, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Represent Tufts at Pine Hill Cemetery Corporation meetings and participate in memorial services.

Education

Associate’s degree from an Accredited Mortuary School or equivalent
