Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required for the role.
  • Minimum three years of professional experience; master's degree can substitute for two years.
  • Experience in funeral industry and with contracts, estimates and invoices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the willed body program for LSUHSC-New Orleans, including BAS operations.
  • Communicate with donors, potential donors and families; ensure timely handling of death certificates and cremated remains.
  • Coordinate course scheduling with internal departments and outside entities; provide course estimates.
  • Manage contracts and facility use agreements; invoice and coordinate payments.
  • Supervise the BAS coordinator and morgue staff.
