Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System’s Comprehensive Center for Surgical Innovation (CCSI) seeks a Lab Manager to oversee Anatomy Lab and OR spaces, ensuring compliant handling of cadaveric tissues and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include procurement, scheduling, inventory, and disposal of specimens, staffing, and developing SOPs. The role requires leadership, strong organization, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing human tissue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced supervision.
• Minimum five years in a laboratory setting with supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, scheduling, and disposal of cadaveric materials.
• Lead anatomy labs and OR space staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and facility handbooks for CCSI users.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing human tissue.
