Job summary

UPAC in San Diego, CA is seeking a Program Manager for the Alternatives to Incarceration program. You will lead the program staff, ensure service integrity, and manage contracts, QA, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires clinical licensure and at least two years managing programs serving PEH or similar populations. Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Behavioral health professional with at least two years managing programs serving PEH and/or justice-involved populations.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and management skills in a multicultural environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall program operations, including administrative management, QA, policy implementation, and contract compliance.
• Supervise direct reports, oversee weekly staff meetings, and coordinate team communication.
• Oversee recruitment, interviewing, training and performance of program staff and interns.
• Ensure data collection, documentation, and charting meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high client care quality with trauma-informed practices and evidence-based approaches.
• Act as key contact for client referrals and inquiries from external sources.
• Represent the program and UPAC in the community and at meetings.
