Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ESS Program Manager to oversee complex projects involving the installation, integration, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for high-profile clients, including U.S. federal agencies. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical, and organizational skills, and is responsible for ensuring all project objectives are achieved within scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage ESS project execution from award through completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, cost, schedule, and quality
  • Supervise internal teams and subcontractors, oversee scheduling, resource planning, and performance management
  • Ensure contract compliance, maintain documentation, and manage change control procedures
  • Prepare project documentation including SOWs, change orders, schedules, and financial reports
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison for assigned contracts; maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on performance
  • Review and interpret design drawings and technical specifications; ensure installations meet project and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in proposal development and project planning for new business opportunities
  • Contribute to operational improvements by identifying and implementing process efficiencies
  • Support and enforce safety standards, including EM 385-1-1, and oversee field inspections and QA/QC procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of project/program management experience on federal government or DoD contracts
  • 5+ years specifically managing ESS installation or integration projects
  • Strong knowledge of electronic security systems (ACS, IDS, VSS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with FAR contract requirements and EM 385-1-1 safety standards
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience with Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, and similar platforms
  • Financial acumen: cost control, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and estimate labor/material costs

Work Environment

  • This is a remote-based role with approximately 25% travel to customer project sites
