Job summary

Captive Resources, LLC is seeking a Unit Leader to manage a team of Program Managers and Associate Program Managers, drive performance and development, and ensure operational excellence in support of captive objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years in insurance, captive management, or program management, plus demonstrated leadership capability and strong communication skills. Hybrid work at the Itasca office is offered.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Leader manages a team of Program Managers and Associate Program Managers, providing leadership, performance management, coaching, and development to support individual and organizational success.
• Be visible and engaged with unit personnel while in and out of the office.
• Balance captive escalations and personnel development to ensure service standards for the captive and personnel responsibilities are both maintained.
• Support the Program Management directive as it relates to the roles and responsibilities of the Program Management team
• Enforce compliance with recurring activities (i.e. premium reconciliation, collections, etc.)
• Conduct regular individual and team meetings to communicate priorities, provide coaching, and support employee development
• Gather performance feedback, provide coaching and mentorship, and lead performance management and career development activities
• Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing training and development initiatives.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and a positive business culture while supporting Program Management strategic priorities
• Partner with leadership to improve cross-functional processes, communication, and operational effectiveness
• Assist with team and/or enterprise-wide projects
