Program Manager, NA P&C Insurance
Lead and manage all aspects of partner P&C MGUs/MGAs/Program Administrators portfolios, overseeing new submissions, due diligence, and ongoing production and profitability management.
Report to the Head of Property and Casualty Program Management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Property & Casualty underwriting guidelines and Letters of Authority for MGUs/MGAs/Program Administrators and related exception procedures.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators, including pricing objectives, profit improvement, and combined loss ratio results.
- Partner with finance, actuarial, claims, legal, compliance, operations, and IT to analyze issues, identify solutions, and drive execution.
- Support development of program and ceded business documents in collaboration with underwriting, CUO, and legal departments.
- Develop new P&C products, including research, underwriting guidelines, SERFF support, pricing, and state submissions and approvals.
- Perform audits and program reviews, examining policies, applications, endorsements, OFAC, and other relevant documents.
- Identify and manage portfolio-level risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Work with legal and compliance on regulatory matters affecting P&C programs, including data collection and reporting requirements.
- Assist corporate accounting by collecting program data such as premiums, limits, and capital.
- Maintain relationships with MGUs/MGAs/Program Administrators and monitor market trends to ensure performance aligns with company expectations.
- Serve as primary contact for all administrative, underwriting, and service concerns of each direct insurance program.
- Build relationships with support units, brokers, and reinsurers to achieve company objectives.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and ad hoc reports as required.
- Support new business initiatives and triage opportunities.
- Assist in staff training and development.
- Provide coverage expertise in collaboration with claims.
- Develop and deliver marketing presentations to agents and brokers.
- Lead complex projects to successful completion.
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to business and customer challenges.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience in underwriting or product development.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to develop dynamic underwriting models.
- Leadership experience driving underwriting process improvements through technology, outsourcing, or internal innovation.
- Intellectual curiosity and problem‑solving mindset.

Salary
Estimated annual range: $160,000 - $180,000 USD (salary determined by experience, location, and other factors).
